Ear Correction Surgery in Turkey
Ear correction surgery also known as otoplasty is usually done to move prominent or protruding ears closer to the head.
Most of the cosmetic operations on the ears are performed to correct prominent ears (also called bat ears). If you are not happy with the appearance of your ears, an ear correction procedure can be a solution.
During the operation, the surgeon makes an incision behind the ear. The surgeon may correct, reposition or sometimes remove a piece of the cartilage in order to reduce the angle and place the ears closer to the head. At the end of the procedure, the incision will be stitched closed, and a bandage will be applied.
Following the surgery, the head bandage is left in place for 24 to 48 hours. This will help to maintain the position of the ear. After removing the bandage, patients will notice an improvement in the position of their ears immediately.
